Decision Making Skills & Problem Solving

This half-day management training course is designed to instil the essential decision making and problem-solving skills in the diverse and challenging work environment today.

This decision-making skills course will give you insights into your abilities in these areas, highlighting the best mindset to build on your existing skillset while identifying techniques and approaches to overcoming any barriers you might face along the way.

Learn to make timely and well-considered decisions and lead yourself and/or your team to spectacular and well-deserved success. Participants will identify their strengths and weaknesses and develop a highly practical personal action plan that will see them increase their capability in making timelier and more effective decisions that will enable both themselves and others to benefit from the outcomes.

On completion of this course you will be able to:

• Describe the process of problem-solving.
• Articulate a problem including assumptions and definitions.
• Identify and employ techniques for generating possible solutions.
• Identify criteria by which to evaluate possible solutions.
• Enable open and lateral thinking
• Defend the choice of a solution against alternatives

The Decision Making and Problem Solving course objective is to develop your problem solving and decision-making skills to optimum effect for a smoother, happier, and more profitable organisation.

This session is designed for professionals, managers, leaders and those aspiring to be in positions of influence and will directly follow the morning course “Leadership Skills: Managing Stress & Building Resilience” as part of a back-to-back Leadership & Management Training offering.

Delegates will receive a Chamber of Commerce Certificate of Completion after this session with refreshments served upon arrival and lunch provided at approximately 12:30 pm.
