Building on from the foundations of Bid Basics we now move beyond…

Pre-engagement – exploring engagement types and how to engage with public sector bodies.  There will be discussions and idea sessions around explaining/proving your services and how to incorporate marketing and social media to be visible.  We will also touch upon the integration of AI, software and other solutions into this process.

Framework, DPS’s & Tender Planning – here we will look at “where the value lies,” analysing and comparing frameworks, DPS’s and tenders, with a look at their industry specific uses.  These will then be broken down to look at basic profit calculation, how to build a bid team and programme and finally create a win strategy.

The Rise of Social Value – in this section of the course there will be a deep dive into all things social value which will lead into how to research, plan, implement and then report.

Practical Workshop – at this point we will circle back and look at analysing a tender document or framework for your business/industry.  There will also be a group exercise where we will pull ideas together and drafting a response to key tender questions; after which, the group will look to review.

Technology and Tools – within the bid world there are many companies offering assistance, tools and software; at this point we will look at how bid libraries can use AI to fast track first drafts with a demonstration to help cut through the noise

The “Other Side” – understand it to win; a look who is evaluating and how the evaluations work to demystify some of the public sector processes and procedures.

Best Practices and Common Pitfalls – finally we look at tips for successful bid writing, common mistakes to avoid, strategies for continuous improvement and commercially sensitive documentation.

To conclude there will be a question-and-answer session with some time to discuss or recap any areas for delegates.

Who is it for?

Anyone working within a business who is involved in the bid writing process, bid teams and bid programmes from administrators through to directors.

What to bring along?

Due to high levels of engagement and planned exercises delegates will need a laptop or tablet which they can use throughout the course.

There will also be a pre-course questionnaire, please ensure this is filled out and returned as early as possible so the course can have industry specific examples for all attendees.
