While many believe Excel is only used to process complicated data, anyone can learn how to take advantage of the program’s powerful features. Whether you’re keeping a budget, organising a training log, or creating an invoice, Excel makes it easy to work with different types of data.
This course is perfectly designed for absolute beginners who simply have limited experience in working with formulas and building spreadsheets from scratch.
To avoid booking a course that is either too hard or too easy, too fast or too slow, we ask that all delegates complete a pre-course checklist to assess their current level of Excel knowledge. This will enable us to ensure that all delegates are on the right course and able to follow the training at a similar pace:
If we feel that you are “beyond” the elements and concepts discussed in this course – we will recommend which level we feel would most benefit you. This assessment can save both time and money!

Course Requirements:
Delegates should bring a laptop with Excel 2016 or newer installed (unfortunately not an Apple laptop or a ‘web based’ version of Excel). Whilst not essential, the laptop should have a mouse attached as this can be quicker for users during the course
Before enrolling in any Chamber of Commerce Excel course, all prospective delegates must complete a mandatory skills analysis.
This assessment is essential to determine your current proficiency level and ensure you are placed on the most appropriate course (Introductory, Intermediate, or Advanced) for an optimal learning experience. Based solely on the results of this self-assessment, the Chamber will recommend the suitable course level.
Please note that by completing the enrolment process, delegates acknowledge that the Chamber of Commerce is unable to accept responsibility or provide refunds if an individual subsequently feels they have been placed on the wrong level course, as placement relies entirely on the delegate’s own honest assessment during the skills analysis.
We strongly encourage careful and truthful completion of the analysis to secure the best possible course fit.
IMPORTANT – Files will be sent to use on your laptop. Some company laptops are not suitable as they have certain features disabled which prohibit the loading of files.
We have a few laptops that can be hired for use during a Face to Face course but should be arranged for anything run onsite in advance. (Not available for online courses)
We have an 8-delegate maximum per course so please book early to avoid disappointment.
