This year’s Preston Weekender has the “Cream” rising to the top! After last year’s epic Bank Holiday fiesta of live music in the heart of the city, organisers of this year’s event have landed the ultimate in dance culture for Saturdays over 18s event.
On Saturday 2nd May, iconic worldwide dance brand, Cream, will take over the Flag Market with a full production show, co-headlined by global legend Paul Oakenfold and the awesome Joel Corry, featuring Cream resident Kola, plus local support.
In an exciting change to the Sunday programme, the family-friendly ‘FamilyFest’ event is to be staged, featuring a ton of entertainers, named acts, and activities around the event site, promising to be a packed line-up of music, performance, surprises, and very special guests, for all the family. The full programme for which will be released very soon!
In 2025, Preston’s finest attended Pete Tong & Sam Divine’s exclusive headline sets on the Saturday, while Embrace took to the stage on the Sunday night, with events earning rave reviews from gig-goers, hailing it as the “the best thing to happen in Preston in years!”
Mark Whittle from the BID, co-organisers of the event, alongside Preston City Council, said: “The 2025 Weekender was something else. Seeing Preston come together to celebrate on such a scale, was special. This year, we’re upping the ante, and are on a mission to welcome even more people to the event and our great city, to see what we’re all about, and to enjoy our legendary hospitality”.
This year’s Preston Weekender has gone up a level, with organisers confident it offers something for everyone. From those who love iconic dance anthems and chilled beats, to fun and engaging acts for all the family.
Since its humble beginnings in ’92 here in the North West, Cream has trailblazed its way to the top, forming the blueprint for dance culture as we know it today. From massive club nights to major festivals, Cream sets the benchmark for unforgettable live experiences. Over the years, Cream has staged events worldwide, including hosting editions of Creamfields, the world’s biggest electronic music festival brand.
