The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is delighted to partner with Jackson Stephen to invite you to attend this informative session to learn more about R&D Tax credits and to identify if your business is eligible to make a claim.
What are R&D tax credits?
Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credits are a valuable government incentive, designed to encourage investment in innovation.
The misconception that R&D claims can only be made for cutting edge and brand new products has led to thousands of potential claims being missed!
Jackson Stephen have found the key to a successful claim is understanding client’s business so that all qualifying R&D activities are brought into the claim, including the less obvious.
One of the main criteria for a successful claim looks at whether something has been significantly improved. This can be as simple as making something lighter, faster or simply more efficient.
A company can claim R&D tax relief for the last two completed accounting periods. This means companies can potentially claim for all qualifying expenditure incurred in the past 36 months.
Who would benefit from attending this event?
£1million plus turnover companies (profitable or loss making) involved in the following sectors:
Food and Drink Producers
Software and IT
Chemicals & Glues
Electronics and Electricals
Successful claims have been made for companies as diverse as building contractors, slipper manufacturers, plant hire and construction.
