Law firm Baines Wilson LLP has announced another would-be solicitor is in training with them to become a fully-fledged professional.
The Lancaster and Carlisle-based group has taken on Samantha-Jane Amor, who aims to qualify as a solicitor in October 2017.
The 23-year-old (pictured) is a former pupil of Netherhall School, Maryport, before studying Law at Newcastle University and completing a Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in York.
“The competition for training contracts continues to be extremely fierce,” said Sam, who is currently working in the firm’s Employment Department.
“I feel very fortunate to have secured such a high quality training contract with the leading business law firm in the area. I am proud to be Cumbrian and being able to live here, progress in my chosen career and have the opportunity to learn from some of the best legal minds in the area is a great privilege. “
Employment Partner, Joanne Holborn, added: “At Baines Wilson we are determined to grow our own legal talent. As such, we are delighted to be able to offer traineeships to aspiring young lawyers in our area.”
Managing Partner, John Wilson, said: “We are committed to recruiting excellent trainees, ideally with strong connections to our area. Sam fits the bill perfectly.”
