The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the addition of three more guests to the Brexit conference line-up on 26th April.

Jane Gratton, Head of Business Environment and Skills at the British Chambers of Commerce joins David Henig, UK Director at the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE) and Philip Hargreaves, Head of Access to Finance North West as the latest names to be added to an already impressive list of experts that will appear on the conference panels.

The conference, taking place at Preston Guild Hall, is being organised by the Chamber of Commerce in response to local business concerns about the lack of clear information and guidance available to help them prepare for the United Kingdom’s exit from the EU.

Chamber Policy Manager Alan Welsh said: “Given that we are just a few weeks away from leaving the EU, many businesses are still unclear as to how Brexit is going to impact on them. We want to give local businesses the opportunity to ask questions and listen to advice from leading experts and government officials on how to plan for Brexit and be ready to take advantage of new opportunities.

“A recent Chamber survey highlighted four main Brexit issues that businesses would like more support with, so we have established an expert panel to discuss each one at the conference – namely borders and trade, immigration and skills, regulatory alignment and finance.”

Over 170 people have already registered for the event and the Chamber of Commerce is advising people to reserve places as soon as possible. The conference is free of charge and open to all businesses. For more details go to www.lancschamber.co.uk/events
