The NWL Chamber of Commerce is celebrating International Women’s Day (8th March) by launching the first ‘Women Mean Business’ event of 2019.

On the 17th May, the Preston Marriott hotel will host the first of three ‘Women Mean Business’ events in 2019, which celebrates and empowers women in business.  Guests are invited to join us for this inspiring event featuring a panel of outstanding business women from across the UK, and from closer to home.

We are pleased to announce that our headline speaker for the event will be Camilla Ainsworth, runner up of the 2018 BBC Apprentice.  As a young successful businesswomen and a supporter of business start-ups, Camilla will talk about her story, the creation of her company – M+LKPlus and her time on the hit BBC series.

Joining Camilla is the CEO of Marketing Lancashire, Rachel McQueen.  Rachel is a strategic marketer with extensive experience working across a range of sectors with diverse audiences and now heads up the county’s tourism arm.  The Chamber’s President, Dawn Cheetham will be your host for the event with the speaker line-up rounded off by Katy Mason, author of “Inspirational, Fabulous & Over 40”.

The event will take place between 12:00 – 15:00 and include a chance to connect with other businesses from across Lancashire before our first speaker takes to the stage. You’ll then be treated to a fantastic two-course meal courtesy of the ‘Cast Iron Grill’ before the final two speakers.

At the Chamber of Commerce we believe there is a strong contingent of leading business women in many sectors across the UK, and this event will highlight, promote and support women at the top of their game.
