A Lancashire charity is quids in after receiving a grant to help with their ongoing work.
Support and Education for Eating Disorders (S.E.E.D) Lancashire has collected a grant of £9,888 from the Morrisons Foundation.
That money, which comes from Morrisons’ sale of 5p carrier bags, will help the charity to pay for a series of Recovery Art courses to make mosaics for their garden.
S.E.E.D is a small local charity offering information, advice, education and practical help for individuals suffering from eating disorders and their carers.
The only charity of its kind in Lancashire, S.E.E.D relies completely on donations and small grants to continue to deliver their much needed services, where specialist treatment is difficult to access in the current climate.
Set up in 2007 by Shelley Perry, S.E.E.D has already helped thousands of people across the Lancashire area through their support groups and events.
The Morrisons Foundation aims to make a positive difference to people living in England, Scotland and Wales by donating grants to registered charities undertaking projects that improve people’s lives.
