A familiar face to the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is commemorating the organisation’s 100th birthday by becoming a centenary patron.
Moore and Smalley have joined the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in being one of two such patrons for the Chamber in 2016.
Both organisations have had a long-standing relationship, dating back 100 years to Moore and Smalley’s appointment as the Chamber’s founding auditor.
The company also provides accounting, business advisory and wealth management services from offices in locations such as Preston and Blackpool.
“We’re very pleased that our centenary-long relationship with Moore and Smalley has been able to continue in this fashion,” said Babs Murphy, the Chamber’s Chief Executive.
“We have similar goals and aspirations in that we are always there for local businesses, providing support and guidance when required.
“As with RBS, our other centenary patrons, Moore and Smalley are valued Chamber members and I hope we can continue what has been a long and fruitful partnership.”
“We couldn’t have been happier to show our backing for the Chamber in such a momentous year by becoming centenary patrons,” added Graham Gordon from Moore and Smalley.
“Both organisations provide support and expertise to local businesses, something which I hope will continue to be the case for another 100 years and beyond.
“Congratulations should go to the Chamber on reaching such a noteworthy anniversary.”
Centenary patrons enjoy a number of membership benefits coinciding with the Chamber’s centenary celebrations.
They can take advantage of advanced membership services including prominent places at all of the centenary services for this year.
In addition to their two centenary patrons, the Chamber also possesses three patron members in Slater and Gordon, Preston’s College and Ultimaker.
