We are pleased to share that the EBCC has been selected as the Trusted Delivery Partner to DBIST in Egypt
They are currently working, in collaboration with the Department for Business, Innovation, Science & Trade (DBIST) team at the British Embassy in Cairo and the Egyptian Commercial Service at the Egyptian Embassy in the UK, to organise a UK Renewables-focused business mission to Egypt from 11–15 October, timed to coincide with the Energy Egypt 2026 event.
In the run up to the mission, the EBCC is planning to host a webinar on Tuesday, 8 September, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm UK time, focusing on the Egyptian renewable energy market. The registration link to the webinar is below
The objective of the webinar is to provide UK businesses with a clear and comprehensive overview of the renewable energy landscape in Egypt, including:
• Renewable energy landscape
• Infrastructure, grid and connectivity
• Government incentives and the regulatory environment
• Projects and opportunities in the pipeline
• Regional interconnectivity
• EBCC’s upcoming mission and Egypt Energy 2026
They hope this will help UK companies better understand the market and identify where their expertise and capabilities could add value across the wider renewable energy ecosystem in Egypt
Additionally to the above, Alamein Africa Forum (GO63 Africa) is taking place in Egypt from 2–4 October 2026 alongside the African Union Mid-Year Summit. The Forum is positioned as Africa’s premier business gathering, bringing together Heads of State, government representatives, investors and business leaders from across the continent.
Given its pan-African reach and high-level participation, they believe this presents a unique opportunity for UK businesses to showcase successful projects, partnerships and investments across Africa, particularly business models that have proven successful in Egypt or elsewhere on the continent and are ready to be replicated in new markets.
They would be delighted to collaborate with any of our members with ambitions to expand their presence across Africa.
