Holt Green Training, one of Blackpool’s leading Training and Apprenticeship Providers, has received confirmation of attendance from recently elected Mayor, Ian Coleman. They set to hold an official grand opening of their new academy in the exciting town of Blackpool on 7th March 2018.

The new Holt Green training team at Blackpool are excited to celebrate their initial successes with their greatly anticipated upcoming grand opening. From its initial opening in December last year the academy has brought in over a dozen apprentices and employers from the local area, with many more applicants expected to be recruited within the next year.

Councillor Ian Coleman, who was appointed Blackpool’s mayor on Monday 15th May 2017, aims to dedicate much of his time to supporting local businesses and charities including officially opening the Holt Green Training Blackpool Academy. He said: ‘Being Mayor is a honour I have long cherished yet never believed it was an obtainable dream.

‘Today (Monday) was thirty years to the day since I first became councillor and to follow the wonderful people who have sat as the Mayor of Blackpool before makes me feel humble and gives me great pride.

‘This is a town of generous people who care about others and get behind those who need support. This town has a great heart and brings laughter and joy to thousands of people each and every year.’

On the day the academy will play host to local businesses and interested candidates who may be considering a future with Holt Green Training. The Mayor will be saying a few words to welcome the new academy and team into the city, and then will finally cut the ribbon marking the official opening of Holt Green Training’s doors on 7th March.

John Keen, Managing Director, was elated to gain support from the Mayor. He commented “We were really pleased to hear that the mayor had accepted our formal invitation, it was really important to us to gain support from a local figure who we admire who also supports the “outstanding” work we do. There are some amazing opportunities here which we hope to bring to the employers and people of Blackpool. We welcome all those who are interested in finding out more about the Training and apprenticeship opportunities we have, so please feel free to call in to our offices and we’ll be happy to help”.
