Membership Development Manager
£30,000 per annum + Commission
Based in Preston
We’re seeking to recruit a Membership Development Manager who is personable and consultative. They should have a good understanding of business-related issues and a desire to support businesses in the area and increase membership of the Chamber. If you’re currently working as a Field Sales Executive or B2B Business Development Manager and enjoy supporting companies to grow, then this job could be ideal for you.
Working as the Membership Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing the organisation’s membership base with a particular focus on developing new business relationships, as well as generating new income for the organisation.
Although you will work closely with other departments, the role requires the successful candidate to possess the ability to work without direct supervision and use their own initiative. Given the nature of the job you must also have a flexible approach and be willing to work outside normal office hours as required. Applicants must be qualified to drive and possess their own vehicle and live within the Lancashire region.
Responsible for lead generation, appointment setting and conversion
The recruitment of Premium and Patron members to an agreed monthly target and budget
Presenting the organisation to potential members through direct communication in face to face meetings, virtual meetings, telephone calls, emails, and group meetings
Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution, pitch; negotiation; close
Attending a mixture of events/exhibitions to generate leads, appointments and new members – in support of the Chamber and its members
Keep abreast of business issues and ensure the organisation remains proactive and responsive to prospective members
