Female entrepreneurs across Lancashire are invited to secure places at December’s ‘Women Mean Business’ lunch.
Hot on the success of the September event, with the Secretary of State and COO of Manchester United, this event is specifically aimed at female business leaders within Lancashire. Our speakers will share with you their business journey and learnings along the way, following a two-course festive lunch, in association with Code Galaxy, the event’s sponsors.

Nicola Adam – Senior Editor National World NW, Editor of Lancashire Post and Blackpool Gazette: As an ‘Inspiring Woman in Journalism’, Nicola has over 20 years journalistic experience, which has led to her senior editorial positions in well known publications. She reviews theatre, gigs and books through her blog, as well as having a large social media following through her ‘Jabbering Journo’ accounts. Nicola is also a former BBC Lancashire radio presenter. Nicola has also provided news commentary on: Talk Radio, 5Live, Radio, Times Radio / Times Red Box podcast. Nicola is a Google- sponsored scholar at the industry-led Journalism Leadership and Innovation post-grad at UcLan.
Louisa Scanlan – Collaborate Business Solutions, speaker and award-winning practitioner: Hailing from Clitheroe, Louisa is the Director of ‘Collaborate Business Solutions’. She recently spoke at the number one business and tech event for women in the UK, ‘Karren Brady’s Women in Business & Tech’ Expo. Louisa’s 25 years’ experience in supporting organisations was recently recognised when she won the ‘Practitioner Award 2022’ at the Global Lumina Learning Excellence awards.
