The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is delighted to welcome Rob Green, Blackpool Fylde & Wyre EDC’s Head of Enterprise and Investment, for an update on the new Enterprise Zone launched at the Squires Gate Business Estate, Blackpool.

The event will also see Stephen Chalcraft, a principal lawyer from Slater & Gordon’s commercial real estate team, talk about how the public sector can engage to create more effective Enterprise Zones.

Mr Chalcraft leads the team, focusing on regeneration and development, as well acting for both the public and the private sector and specialising in both complex development and regeneration schemes.

He also has considerable experience in structuring complex property joint venture and partnering transactions, in addition to considerable experience in the hotel, retail and leisure sector and a wide range of general commercial real estate experience.

Mr Chalcraft is also the chairman of Pro Manchester’s Regeneration and Property Group and regularly speaks at events focused on the regeneration and the property sector.

He has also chaired summits on the challenges facing the public sector and on economic growth in the North West while, for good measure, he has addressed the Manchester Business School on the implications of recent budgets and comprehensive spending reviews for regeneration and economic growth in the North West.

He is recognised by the market as ‘being entrepreneurial and intellectual’ (Legal 500) and for his commerciality and focus on the delivery of complex schemes, and, furthermore, has advised on the Enterprise Zone at Manchester Airport and at Samlesbury.

Following the session, Mr Chalcraft will be available for anyone who has any general questions or who wishes to have a one-to-one conversation.

The event will also provide an opportunity for traders from the industrial estate to get to know each other and create opportunities for future business.
