Recognising that often the best ideas come out of a free-flowing conversation, the team have recently introduced more informal Peer to Peer sessions. These will take place in between the quarterly briefings and, over the course of a couple of hours in the early evening, will enable us all to mix and share best practice as well as tips on what to avoid. The first one is Thursday 15 May at the Chamber’s Meeting Space
One of the feedback points we have had from the group is that you would like us to cover how you could potentially save costs in light of increasing employment costs and support employees with their financial wellbeing. We have therefore invited Simon Tipton (an independent financial adviser) to talk about what easy wins there might be for businesses, such as salary sacrificing pensions, as well as other initiatives that can be put in place to support employees’ financial wellbeing. He will be on hand to answer questions and there will also be the opportunity for an informal catch up on events since we last met; we hope to see you there and are keen to find out what you have been up to!
