Our HR forum and network is an information and network-packed event open to all Operations, HR and Personnel managers and professionals, business owners, and anyone with HR responsibilities in an organisation. It is truly a “meeting of the minds” which includes informational micro training from experts in the HR field along with delegate interaction and input.
This first HR Forum of 2018 will feature information and best-practice methods for Health and Wellness at Work and will include a Q&A panel at the end of the speaking sessions along with one-to-ones for interaction with other Operations, HR, and Personnel Managers from around Lancashire.
Dr. Tony Mawson of Organsiational Healthcare will be on hand to talk about employee “Presenteeism”. He will discuss what presenteeism is, how big of a problem it is for businesses, the factors driving it and what can be done to help tackle it.
John Huckstepp will discuss how poor employee health can hurt productivity, quality, and safety performance while the benefits good employee health and well-being can ultimately add increase to the bottom line. Using practical and case study evidence, John will help us to understand the scale of the problem and provide some pointers on what we can do about it
Given the increase in the instance of mental health issues that Harrison Drury has been seeing, Roger Spence will look to focus on the aspect of keeping the workforce mentally well and perhaps what to do if staff falls ill. He will try to touch on some of the legal claims that can arise where there is a failure to address work related stress, anxiety etc. and how companies can mitigate that risk and manage the situation if the worst comes to the worst.
We are delighted to partner with Best Western Glendower Hotel in St. Annes as hosts of this HR Forum. Price includes a light breakfast and refreshments along with 4 micro-training sessions and a great room for networking opportunities before and after the presentations.
