The UK left the EU on the 31 January 2020. From 1 January 2021, the way you trade with the EU will change, and you will need to be ready to comply with new customs arrangements. New rules will take effect on 1 January 2021.
This is the third in our series of workshops that will help you prepare for the upcoming changes and offer an insight to the help we can provide at the Chamber. The workshops are completely free of charge.
The event will again be split into two parts
Part 1, for new joiners, from 09.00 – 10.00 a.m. will cover:
· Customs declarations (export and import)
· Customs Duties
· U.K. Global tariff
· VAT (imports)
· Safety and Security declarations
· Actions to take
Part 2, for those who have attended previous sessions, from 10.00 – 11.00 a.m.:
Will consist of shared experience on a peer to peer basis, the Chamber will update you on any further changes and new information.
We will have guest speakers from TLF the French Logistics Association along with representatives working from the port of Antwerp who will present on the changes of procedures from the continental perspective.
There will be an opportunity to question them on how your shipments may be affected either leaving or entering the European market.
