Double Awards Shortlisting Marks Another Milestone for Kelmore

Kelmore has been shortlisted in two categories at the prestigious BIBAs 2026 (Be Inspired Business Awards), with the Lancashire manufacturer named as a finalist for both Manufacturer of the Year and Scale Up Business of the Year.
Trading for less than three years, this marks another significant milestone for the young manufacturer, recognising the remarkable growth it has achieved in a very short space of time, and its ambitions for the future.
As part of the awards process, Kelmore recently hosted two site visits for separate BIBAs judging panels to its Chorley headquarters so the judges could meet the team, gain a deeper understanding of the business and see its operations first-hand.
The visits provided an opportunity to showcase Kelmore’s purpose-built manufacturing facility, discuss the company’s journey and highlight its ongoing investments.
Prior to this, Kelmore successfully progressed through two rounds of judging including a written entry and interview for both categories to reach the final stage.
The recognition follows Kelmore’s success at the 2025 BIBAs, where the company was named New Business of the Year, and demonstrates the continued progress the business has made over the past 12 months.
Mark Kelly, Managing Director of Kelmore, commented: “To be shortlisted in two highly respected and competitive categories is an incredible achievement for everyone at Kelmore, especially so early in our journey. We’re competing alongside long-established manufacturers and businesses, so to be recognised at this level is something we’re extremely proud of.
“Winning the BIBAs New Business Award last year was a fantastic milestone in our journey, and to now be shortlisted for both Manufacturer of the Year and Scale Up Business of the Year demonstrates the progress we’ve continued to make over the past 12 months.
“It was a pleasure to meet the judges at the interview stage and welcome them to our site so they could see for themselves our operations and meet the team.
“We are looking forward to celebrating alongside so many outstanding Lancashire businesses at the awards ceremony in September and wish them all the best of luck.”
Organised by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, the BIBAs awards ceremony will take place on Friday 18 September at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, where the winners of the 2026 awards will be announced.
Kelmore manufactures tile adhesives, smoothing and levelling compounds and grouts operating nationwide in the tiling and flooring industries with a team of 72.
