Lancashire based website and software developers Code Galaxy have developed a new website, app and bespoke system for Lancashire’s Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP).

Led by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, Lancashire’s LSIP programme is part of the government’s Skills Accelerator initiative, and one of eight Local Skills Improvement Plans being piloted across the country.

Through events, news and survey reports Lancashire’s LSIP aims to address concerns that employers do not have enough influence over courses and skills offered in their local area and struggle to find skilled employees.

Code Galaxy’s website and mobile app offer interactive platforms that will enable Lancashire’s LSIP to publicise events, handle user registrations, post news and information, and create custom surveys and reporting, along with other intuitive functionality such as push notifications on the app.

The website can be found at www.lancashirelsip.co.uk.

The app can be downloaded from these links:

Director of Code Galaxy, Nicky Speakman, said: “This has been a great project to be involved in alongside the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce. As one of only eight UK Local Skills Improvement Plans, Lancashire’s LSIP needed a website and app that would clearly define their objectives while offering an exceptional user experience. We were delighted with how the finished designs were received.

Our bespoke system offers efficiencies in handling large amounts of data and daily administration. We also designed the system to be able to manage scalability as the programme grows, and respond to changing requirements.”

Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce said: “We were delighted to work alongside Code Galaxy in the development of this vitally important project. Having previously commissioned the company for other projects, we were confident that they would produce a suite of quality digital platforms, against specification and in a timely and professional manner”.
