It’s an issue which affects all businesses in Lancashire – traffic on the M6.
Almost daily there seems to be either an incident or heavy traffic which turns Lancashire’s main motorway into a car park, causing headaches for businesses across the county.
The Chamber has now offered its support to the new M6 Partnership which was formed by Ribble Valley MP, Maya Ellis and other stakeholders.
As with our correspondence to Lancashire County Council, we have offered a number of solutions to traffic flow, including the introduction of “smart signalling” around Preston city centre which will allow arterial routes to flow when an incident occurs.
