A familiar face to the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is commemorating the organisation’s 100th birthday by becoming a centenary patron.
The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) is one of two such patrons for the Chamber in 2016 along with Moore and Smalley.
The Chamber and RBS have had a long-standing relationship, one which goes back 100 years to RBS’ appointment as the Chamber’s founding bankers.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled that our partnership with RBS has continued to flourish in this way,” said Babs Murphy, the Chamber’s Chief Executive.
“The two organisations have worked alongside each other for the last 100 years and enjoy a strong working relationship. RBS are valued Chamber members and I’d like to thank them for all of their support by backing us in this way.”
“We were only too happy to show our support for the Chamber by becoming centenary patrons,” added Stephen Ford from RBS.
“Along with the Chamber, we are there to act on behalf of local businesses; the Chamber provides a voice and expertise for those companies while we try to make their lives as easy as possible by giving them a stress-free service.
“I’d like to congratulate the Chamber on reaching its 100th birthday and look forward to many more years working together.”
Centenary patrons enjoy a number of membership benefits coinciding with the Chamber’s centenary celebrations.
These include: website and e-shot branding; pop-up stands at Chamber events; special recognition in the Chamber’s centenary yearbook; and invites to all of the Chamber’s scheduled centenary events.
In addition to their two centenary patrons, the Chamber also possesses three patron members in Slater and Gordon, Preston’s College and Ultimaker.
