Chamber Patron Member Access2Funding’s Dawn Coker took home the Women Making a Difference award at the 2022 Merseyside Women Of The Year Awards ceremony.

Dawn’s passion for working to change the culture of the finance sector, seeking gender equality and retaining female talent was recognised, along with the way in which she has openly shares her personal menopause journey to raise awareness and support others.

Speaking of her award win, Dawn said: “I was up against 17 fabulous and deserving women at the awards, so I want to thank everyone involved for this opportunity and for recognising what I’m trying to achieve, little by little! “Winning this award will further help with highlighting the importance of not only menopause at work but gender equality as an entirety – there is still a long way to go but I believe we will get there and change is happening.”

Renowned for putting a spotlight on those women who do not seek the limelight or push themselves to the front, but instead work to make a difference to the people, sectors and communities they serve, the awards become a much-anticipated feature in the city’s social calendar, since their establishment in 2010. They will return again in 2023, on Friday 30 June.
