Chamber seeking input into new steel import quotas
Published: 03/07/26
How will the new steel import quotas affect your business?
From this week, the European Union has published the country by country allocation of steel import quotas which could have an impact of Lancashire’s manufacturing and construction sector.
The Chamber is seeking views from its members on how the new rules will impact their business, particularly any increases in costs and disruption to supply chains, as well as the availability of specific steel products.
We will use your input to inform discussions with policymakers and the BCC who are representing the network so that any experiences of members are understood.
If your business is affected, please get in touch. For more information on the steel import quotas, visit UK’s steel trade measure from 1 July 2026 – GOV.UK
