Compass Fuel Oils Ltd is pleased to confirm our approval under the Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme with reference number CM/P36/24. This approval certifies that Compass Fuels is authorised to supply Renewable Diesel HVO with 100 percent renewable fuel content across the UK.
This marks an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to cleaner energy and verified sustainable fuel solutions.
What the Approval Means
Being approved under the RFAS ensures three key benefits for customers:
Verified and traceable renewable fuel
Guaranteed sustainability and emissions data
Confidence that all supplied HVO meets strict UK standards
Renewable Fuel Declarations
From 1 September 2025, all Compass Fuels HVO customers will receive a Renewable Fuel Declaration every three months. Each declaration will confirm:
The volume of HVO supplied
The renewable fuel content
The associated greenhouse gas savings
Declarations are only issued for fuel supplied from 1 September 2025 onward.
Commitment to Transparency
As part of the scheme, Compass Fuels will also submit an Annual Greenhouse Gas and Sustainability Disclosure Report to Zemo Partnership. Our first report will cover sales from September to December 2025 and will be submitted by 30 April 2026. This ensures that:
All data is independently reviewed
All sustainability claims are fully transparent
All customers receive accurate environmental information
Looking Ahead
Aardvark Certification will conduct our first RFAS compliance audit during Q2 2026. This will verify that our renewable fuel operations meet the required standards for traceability and sustainability.
