Lancashire is home to some of the UK’s most diverse and stunning natural environments – from moorland to coastline – but like many regions, its biodiversity is under threat

A new Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS), led by Lancashire County Council and shaped with support from partners across the public, private, and voluntary sectors, is now open for consultation

The LNRS sets out how we can protect and restore our local natural assets, enhance biodiversity, create new green spaces, and improve public access to nature – all while supporting a more resilient environment and improving health and wellbeing for local communities.

Businesses, developers, landowners, planners and residents all have a vital role to play. Your insights are key to ensuring the strategy delivers real impact and is understood and supported by those it affects.
