As the political make-up of Lancashire changes following the election of Reform UK to the county council, there has never been a more pertinent time to discuss the future.
On 12th June, the Chamber will attempt to clarify what impact local government reorganisation will have upon the county at a breakfast event at Samlesbury Hotel in Preston.
Whatever model is ultimately adopted, it will have a significant impact on the local business community, shaping economic development, service delivery, and strategic planning for years to come.
Hosted by BBC broadcaster Mike Stevens, the Chamber will provide an overview of the various models, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages, followed by a panel debate comprising leaders from district councils, unitary authorities, and the upper-tier authority. They will present their current perspectives and preferred options.
