Workplace Training and Development – Have Your Say

Skills shortages are a major concern for businesses across the country and the problem is likely to be exacerbated by upcoming changes to UK immigration policy.

Part of the solution lies in encouraging businesses to upskill and reskill their existing adult workforce to fill job vacancies. However, the Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) shows that employer investment in training is falling year on year.

That’s why the British Chambers of Commerce has brought together businesses and skills experts to research the barriers, solutions and incentives for employer investment in adult workforce skills. The research aims to put the Chamber Network in a stronger position to help members, underpinning our national lobbying and representation and informing the delivery of practical support services at the local level.
