Company branches out to play the frame game

A Blackpool-based firm is eyeing further success after expanding its product range.

‘Framing Incredible’, an offshoot of ‘The Ink Squid’ company, began life a couple of months ago operating out of Whitehills Business Park, Blackpool.

Having specialised in compatible ink and toner cartridges for printers, they took the decision to branch out into a different sector.

The company already has four staff working for them with a fifth set to begin in the summer.

It’s a decision which, according to spokesman Adrian Meakin, is already paying dividends.

“Our staff have been trained in a wide range of skills and all work is carried out in-house,” he said.

“We are able to frame practically anything and current work includes everything from the usual photos, signed football shirts, baby booties and corporate certificates to the slightly more unusual items.

“For example, we are currently quoting for a job which involves framing high-spec flat-screen TVs.

“They will be mounted on the wall and, when in standby mode, mimic a mirror – in fact you cannot tell the difference.

“Literally, any item can be framed and, the more off-the-wall it is, the more we like the challenge!”

In addition to the framing aspect of its work, the company is also creating unique, made-to-order gifts.
