The UK government released further guidance for schools, colleges and local authorities on maintaining educational provision. Parents have been asked to keep their children at home, wherever possible. Schools are being asked to continue to provide care for a limited number of children who are vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the Coronavirus response.

The UK government has now defined key workers whose children will be prioritised for education provision. This is very broad and open to interpretation. There appears to be a lack of alignment between those who are designated key workers and those children that can attend schools. We are seeking further clarity from government and will keep you updated with any developments.
