WE’RE HIRING! COMMERCIAL SPONSORSHIP AND EVENTS MANAGER

This role would suit an energised professional with experience in securing commercial revenue within a business-to-business environment, putting people first, and arranging great events.

MAIN DUTIES:

Developing new business relationships; generating and negotiating sponsorship income for events on behalf of North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce to an agreed annual income and profit target
Secure sponsorship and commercial revenue to support an annual events programme, designed to meet the needs of Chamber members
Developing a suite of sponsorship packages for each event and actively pursue sales opportunities
Researching markets to identify opportunities for commercially viable and relevant business to business events
An ability to plan the logistics relating to events and produce detailed plans (e.g. sponsorship deadlines, marketing plans, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
Agreeing to and managing a budget
Responsible for credit control for any outstanding event/sponsorship monies in accordance with NWLCC procedures
Securing and booking suitable venues and locations
Ensuring insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to
Coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire
Organising facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality, and the media
Identifying and securing speakers or special guests
Planning room layouts and the entertainment programme, scheduling workshops and demonstrations
Processing invoice requisition and following up on payments after events
Report writing and sponsorship evaluation
Efficient marketing and promotion of the Chamber’s events programme/sponsors
Keep abreast of business issues, collect competitor intelligence, and ensure NWLCC remains proactive and responsive to prospective members
Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and productivity to ensure best use of management time
A commitment to achieving/exceeding targets
A committed team player with the ability to work under pressure without daily direct supervision

Salary: From £21,000.00 per year
