The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce (NWL Chamber) has processed the 10,000th Customs Declaration through the national Chamber Customs network, on behalf of one of its members.
Chamber Customs is the customs training, advisory and brokerage service delivered through Chambers of Commerce across the UK.
As an accredited member of the Chamber Customs network, the NWL Chamber has been assisting members with their customs procedures since the 1st of January 2021 and has just processed the 10,000th document, nationally.
Alex St. Agnan, from the NWL Chamber, submitted the form on behalf of long-standing Chamber member, Jonesco (Preston) Ltd, manufacturers of moulded plastic products, who ship to over 60 countries worldwide.
Gareth Jones, Head of Sales at Jonesco (Preston) said: “We’re delighted to have been the 10,000th entry through the Chamber Customs system via the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce. We’d like to give a special mention to our despatch team, who have gone above and beyond these past few months.
“We were founded in Preston in 1967, and whilst we have subsidiaries in continental Europe, the very heart of our operation remains in Preston, Lancashire.
Paul Walters, Head of International Trade at the NWL Chamber said: “The Chamber is different from other customs brokerage services, we have the relationships, expertise, and knowledge of the British Chamber of Commerce and the overseas network of Chambers to offer an unbeatably fast, reliable, and compliant service.
“Our borders have changed, the rules of the game have shifted, and traders need to build or reset their customs processes, which is exactly what colleagues like Alex are here to support.”
Companies needing practical support with customs declarations, or any element of trading internationally, as encouraged to speak to the Chamber team.
