When it comes to employment status claims, it is not down to how organisations describe their relationships with workers and self-employed contractors, but rather the actuality of the relationship as seen by the Employment Tribunal. If your business has relationships with ‘self-employed’ contractors who provide services only to your business and do so on a regular basis, it may be worthwhile to attend this HR Forum and learn a bit more about how to prepare and equip your organisation to engage properly in today’s “gig economy”.

This working Breakfast Forum will provide valuable information about the gig economy legislation, case law, and best practice in practical terms through micro training, forum discussion, and connection with other Business Owners, Managers, Human Resource, and Personnel departments from around Lancashire. Learn how this new way of working and hiring workers can and will impact your organisation.

This HR Forum will feature specialist Carolyn Rayner of Baines Wilson, Michele Piertney of ACAS, legal, and HR specialist and author John Huckstepp who will each provide a micro training session and will generously make themselves available for Question and Answer session along with one-to-one meetings for specific questions around this important topic.
